Light bulbs

As there are two kinds of light bulbs

So there are two kinds of love,

Probably many more….

There are L.E.D. light bulbs;

That achieve great efficiency

That can be left on all day and all night

At minimal cost,

That shed a mean light signal

Devoid of warmth.

And there are incandescent bulbs;

Bulbs that are literally burned up in use

And must be sparingly applied,

That shine a light of completeness

Filling every wavelength, every recess,

That give warmth

And heat.

I have warmth enough,

So if your light is of this second kind

Let me not try to flick the switch.

Let me not need you,

But let me enjoy, now and then

A tiny glimmer

Of your warm radiant light.
