To feel your presence
I look for you in the wind
I look for you in my thoughts
I look for you in the garden
And in the bed
…
And all I find is silence
….
I find little signs;
The sunflower
Which the bird planted
Which I was promised would never flower
Is beaming
Oh,
That’s just one sign
But enough
….
Perhaps I’m looking in the wrong place
I always told you “People, not property”
So I should look to the people you touched
And see you
In them
….
And now the washing machine is done
I will look for you in the laundry
A lovely heartfelt poem that a lot of people will relate to. I haven’t been able to put up your words on ‘hove to’ yet – illness in this house. All good thoughts to you.
Gwen.

I hope the illness passes, and gives way to comfort and happiness, even if not necessarily rude health.
