Library

This is a real library, you will come and stay in my deluxe heated shed in Penge and I will bring the books down to you.

You will be fed and watered throughout your stay but you must bring your own whisky.

Visits are recommended to be in summer months as, although the hermitage is heated, I haven’t managed to work out any proper lighting yet. When it is dark, you should sleep, and when you sleep, it should be dark, as the candles are a hazard.

I will not post any photos of the facilities and the library won’t be found yet on trip advisor. You will have to take me on trust, and give me time to prepare

I might also offer an away service for the library, but if you require a book on loan you must put me up in your shed for the duration of your requirement of the book/or books.

Books may be greatfuly received as donations to the library, but must be delivered by hand along with an explanation of how they are suited.

Unfortunately the library is not accessible by boat although there is free parking for motorcars and a bus that stops at the door. Cyclists will be grudgingly tolerated.

I will be attempting to set up a catalogue very soon.

CORRECTION

Since the library was opened in 2019 I have been overtaken by events, and it appears I will never have time to catalogue the books. Please ask and I will tell you if I have the book you require.

Membership of the library will be very reasonably priced by negotiation.
